Refund policy

Due to the handcrafted nature of our products and the use of reclaimed, old-recycled materials, natural variations are standard. These materials age and behave uniquely over time, and this is an important factor to consider when purchasing furniture made from reclaimed wood. Our products are not polished or refined, that’s the beauty of old wood. 

Warranty: Reclaimed elm is a living material and may change over time. Variations, movement and cracking are natural and not considered faults. As a small business, we do not offer a warranty on reclaimed elm products - they must be treated as raw and extra care is required therefore, choose carefully. 

Eligibility for Refunds - Refunds will only be offered in the event of damage. We do not accept returns or exchanges for change of mind, incorrect colour, style or size, these choices are the responsibility of the purchaser, so please select carefully and check the suitability of rustic elm for your own circumstances. Seal the furniture with Varnish for added protection.

Time Limit for Claims - All damage or fault claims must be submitted within 7 days of delivery. No exchanges or refunds will be processed after this period has elapsed.

Shipping Costs & Return Conditions

  • Shipping costs are non-refundable, since we engage a third-party carrier for delivery across Australia.
  • All products must be returned in their original packaging, unused, and in the same condition as received.

The customer is responsible for the cost of return shipping. We strongly recommend using registered post or a professional furniture removal service to ensure safe transit. We cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage incurred during return shipping, and this may affect your eligibility for a refund.

Administrative Fee

A $50 administration fee will be deducted from any refund, to cover transaction and handling costs.

Care & Maintenance

Our pieces are lightly waxed only and extra care is required. To protect them appropriately:

  • Avoid chemicals, wet cloths, harsh wipes or scrubbing - they may remove the protective water based wax layer.
  • Use a dry cloth for dusting, and always use coasters, drip trays, tablecloths, placemats or trays for protection.
  • Avoid exposure to water and treat the piece as though it is a raw product.
  • If you prefer additional protection, you may apply several coats of clear matte varnish at your own discretion. Damage caused by improper care or treatment is not covered by our return or exchange policy.
